One Community for All
CyprusForum.com was established by Savas Savvides back in 1996. It was one of the first web sites on the web and the first web site where Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots were able to talk to each other, with the ultimate goal of finding a fair and lasting solution to the Cyprus problem.
At some point about 2000 people were active in daily discussions. One needs to keep in mind that back then, there were no "check-points", no visits, near zero interaction between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, no social media, and only Clerides and Dentktash were communicating, occasionally.
Essentially, we used technology and broke the "monopoly" the two leaders had on discussing the Cyprus problem.
